Free Zone Companies
The UAE now has over 30 Free Zones. The most popular for company formations are The Jebel Ali Free Zone (“Jafza”), Ras al-Khaimah (“RAK”) and Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (“DMCC”).Establishing companies outside of Free Zones requires a local partner (usually holding 51%) although companies established within a Free Zone can be 100% foreign owned and controlled.
